The veil (some say curtain) in the temple of Jerusalem that separated the holy place from the holy of holies, which contained the Ark of the Covenant. Matthew 27:51
This veil was made of blue, purple, and scarlet yarn and fine linen thread.
The tearing of the veil is said to have had several different meanings, including:
· Judgment on the temple system
· New access to the father in Christ
· Christ’s entrance into the heavenlies
· The start of a new relationship with God
