Motive

And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Colossians 3:17 New King James Version

It can be very easy to turn a good decision into a bad decision because of the wrong motive. Has the decision that has been made, been by the leading of the Holy Spirit or the leading of the flesh?

A decision can look good on the outside and still be driven by the wrong motive on the inside. In this week’s message, Rev challenges us to examine whether our choices are being led by the Holy Spirit or by the flesh. If you have ever questioned your intentions, your direction, or your heart behind a decision, this message will speak directly to you. Watch this week’s video, “Motive,” and take a serious look at what is driving your words, actions, and decisions.

The tearing of the veil signified that the way to God’s presence was now open to all who seek His presence. Because it was torn from top to bottom showed that it was not torn by man, but by God Himself.

Power Within Earthen Vessels

The power of God that is within believers is stronger than any external force that can come against them.

We all experience seasons where life feels heavy—pressure on every side, confusion in the mind, opposition from people, and moments that knock us down. In 2 Corinthians 4:7–9, the Apostle Paul describes believers as jars of clay carrying a priceless treasure. The message is clear: God places His power in fragile people so His strength—not ours—gets the glory. And that power is stronger than anything coming against you.

2 Corinthians 4:7-9 New International Version
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

A Double Calling

God puts a call on those that He wants to serve Him, but when God calls a person’s name twice, there can be a significant reason to why He did it.

11 “And the angel of the Lord called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I. Genesis 22:11
