A good deed will be rewarded, if done with the right motive. Allowing ego or pride to be the driving force behind what you are doing can cause a reward not to be given. This week’s message, “Done in Secret,” challenges us to look deeper at why we give, serve, help, and support others. When pride, ego, or the desire for recognition becomes the motivation, the reward can be lost. But when our actions are done with humility and sincerity, God sees what others may never notice.
